Position
The Clinical Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the intake process for designated programs within the agency. This leadership position requires a minimum of three years of progressive management experience and a demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive innovation, and deliver measurable outcomes.
You will provide strong clinical supervision and exercise sound ethical judgment in managing client risk. A key aspect of the role involves analyzing and reporting on program performance across multiple funding streams, with proficiency in clinical data systems.

Responsabilities
As a Clinical Manager on our team, you will:
Administration and Finance
- Participates in a quarterly review of the targets or goals for the teams.
- Ensures that program operations are maintained throughout the year within the approved budget, communicating matters of concern to the Executive Director and participating in a comprehensive quarterly review of expenditures.
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring the program activities in close collaboration with other managers.
- Collaborates with the Executive Director in the analysis of community needs which may impact upon agency programs.
Team Management
- Participates in hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff.
- Attends team meetings and provides clinical supervision as necessary.
- Supports the disciplinary process and manages employee relations concerns, including participation in grievance procedures.
- Completes an annual performance appraisal with some clinical staff and manager; sets performance objectives for the following year, and monitors work performance consistent with the approved plan.
Program Management
- Monitors high-risk cases, potential or actual serious occurrences or vulnerable client issues and informs the Executive Director of any matters requiring external reporting.
- Contributes to the regular review of program data and submission of required statistical reports to the funders and to the Executive Director for the Board.
- Prepares program proposals as identified by the management team in order to meet the needs of the organization.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the areas of clinical expertise needed within the program to facilitate quality supervision and staff training.
- Provides back-up coverage to the other agency programs in the absence of the manager.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Essential Qualifications
- BSW or BA/HBA in Social Sciences, or MSW/MA in a related field.
- Registered with a professional college authorized to grant the designation to practice psychotherapy in Ontario.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in progressively responsible administration of human service organizations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of direct clinical practice.
- Specific related clinical experience in the area of program mandates, i.e. violence against Women, EAP, addictions, developmental disabilities, sexual abuse and counselling.
- Demonstrated competence in staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of the developmental services sector, clinical best practices in addiction services, and trauma-informed care.
- Proven track record in managing change, fostering innovation, and guiding teams through complex service transformations.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively across sectors.
- Familiarity with working with community partners and a deep understanding of the Nipissing area.
- Knowledge of community agencies and experience in fostering inter-agency collaborations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism (English/French) ia an asset.
