Who we need
Reporting to the Sr Human Resources Business Partner - Corporate, we are hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As our new HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting both our manufacturing operations and corporate office teams, acting as a go-to resource for employees and people leaders.
In this role, you will provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding and employee relations to talent development and performance management. You will coach managers, contribute to a positive and productive work environment, and ensure the consistent application of HR policies and processes. Your work will directly impact employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Brampton, Ontario, with three days per week on-site at our facility and two days remote.

How you will make an impact:
- Champion the employee experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders across the organization. You will proactively identify ways to support a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment. You will guide managers through employee relations matters, help resolve issues fairly and professionally, and ensure all actions are well-documented, timely, and compliant. You will support workplace investigations, policy interpretation, and communication to ensure transparency and trust.
- Drive performance and development. You will support workforce planning and talent development by facilitating performance reviews, calibrations, and coaching conversations. You will provide input on career growth opportunities and succession planning, helping leaders retain top talent and build future capability across the organization. You will manage updates and report on metrics in Ceridian Dayforce.
- Coach and support leaders. You will deliver targeted training and one-on-one coaching to help managers strengthen leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. You will guide them through performance improvement, discipline, and employee development processes in line with company policy and legal compliance.
- Implement and uphold HR policies. You will support the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business needs, internal equity, and employment legislation. You will contribute to process improvements and participate in HR initiatives including surveys, documentation updates, and process mapping to enhance efficiency and clarity.
- Support hiring and onboarding. You will partner with internal leaders and our recruitment provider to coordinate hiring activities, including job descriptions, interview logistics, and background checks. You will lead onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth start for new employees. You will also oversee new hire and exit surveys and share findings to improve retention and engagement.
What you bring:
- The experience. You have experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. You have partnered closely with employees and managers to align performance goals and support business objectives. You bring sound HR judgment, business acumen, and the ability to apply critical thinking to complex challenges.
- The policy and compliance expertise. You are well-versed in HR policies, programs, and employment legislation. You ensure compliance while making policy practical and accessible. You support the execution of core HR processes—like performance reviews and calibrations—with a focus on consistency and impact. You are familiar with generating reports and metrics using an HRIS such as Ceridian Dayforce.
- The employee relations expertise. You have a proven ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and care. You investigate concerns, recommend resolutions, and help create a positive and respectful workplace culture. You bring strong knowledge of employment law and conflict resolution best practices.
- The talent development and planning skills. You are familiar with performance management, career development, and succession planning. You know how to identify potential, support employee growth, and contribute to equitable decisions around compensation and benefits.
- The coaching skills. You coach managers through day-to-day leadership challenges, helping them build capability in performance management, feedback, and employee engagement. You lead training sessions and offer practical guidance that managers can apply immediately.
- The initiative and adaptability. You balance multiple priorities with ease and stay organized in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You are proactive, resourceful, and solution-focused.
- The interpersonal skills. You communicate clearly and confidently, adapt your approach to your audience, and build trust across all levels of the organization. You listen actively, promote diverse perspectives, and work collaboratively to resolve issues and drive positive change.
