Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Read and understand blueprints/drawings and other production documents
  • Fit metal components as per provided blueprints/drawings and specifications, ensuring all tolerances are met;
  • Using processes such as (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) to fuse metal segments;
  • Operate welding equipment (manual or semi-automatic).
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and other
    production documents
  • Ensuring that all tasks are performed in the allotted time provided and by Health and Safety regulations and company policies and procedures;
  • Basic maintenance of welding equipment.

Job Qualifications:

  • College or technical trade school in welding is required;
  • Minimum 2 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment working with a variety of materials
  • Thorough knowledge of welding processes, materials, equipment, safety and quality standards
  • Experience and ability to read and understand fabrication prints;
  • Ability to work independently or with supervision;
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills;
  • Manual Dexterity and hand-eye coordination;
  • Able to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)
  • Valid forklift license is an asset

Hours:

Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
