Gulliver's World Cafe is about traveling to far away lands on a plate. Their 110 seat river side restaurant and guest suites is situated on one of the best river systems in the world in The Village of Gagetown, New Brunswick. They offer balance between traditional Maritime Cuisine and tastes from around the globe. Since opening in November 2015, Gulliver's has received Tripadvisor's Award of Excellence every single year. Gulliver's has also caught world wide attention of CBC, CNN and Hospitality Magazine for their “Reservation Only Goose Fat French Fries with reservations coming from as far north as Nunavut and as far south as Hawaii. We also source many of products locally with an opportunity to connect with local producers.
Cook Job Responsibilities:
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
Baking restaurant specific bread and pastry products on a daily schedule
Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, sous vide and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.

Work Hours & Benefits Normal Hours 40 hours per week. Kitchen operates noon until 8pm Wednesday to Sunday. Furnished Staff accommodations are available. A staff meal is provided everyday. Cook Qualifications/Skills:
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills
Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
Ability to work as a team member
Follows directions and instructions

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook
Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred
Experience with various cooking methods and procedures
Familiar with industry best practices
