Bramble is a busy upscale gastropub located in the heart of the kingsway. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This position has opened up as our current Head Chef is relocating within our restaurant group - ensuring a smooth and supported transition. Bramble is part of a strong, growing company, and we're looking for someone who's excited to step into a well-run kitchen and make their mark.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, solid kitchen operations skills, and a deep understanding of the food industry. As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety, while fostering a positive and professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to create a cohesive dining experience for guests.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
  • Assist in the hiring and training of new kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Address any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in supervising kitchen operations.
