Solo Program Supervisor

REPORTS TO: Solo Program Manager; Nancy Fedun

ANTICIPATED START DATE: To be negotiated

CLOSING DATE: May 13, 2025

SALARY: 67,739.00 Annually

General Information about the SOLO Program:

The intent of the SOLO program is to support youth to learn and practice the skills necessary to be successful members of our community. The goals and tasks that youth are typically working to accomplish while in the program include: securing of safe and stable housing; pursuing work, education or adult services, mastering of the various living skills needed for living independently, connection to natural support systems and culture, and successfully transitioning youth out of the Childrens Services/TAP.

In general, the Supervisor duties will include;

Supervision of Solo placement coordinators

Administration of youth and staff files (paperwork, reporting, file management).

Coordinate and facilitate youth intakes

Provide support to on-call front line staff. Back-up on-call responsibility shared with manager.

This role may also include direct client work (to fill in for staff absences or assisting with complex youth).

Fill in for the manager during their absences.

  • Working with contemporary practices, including but not limited to; understanding of life span developmental theories, trauma informed/resiliency focused practices, integration of Indigenous worldview into practice, Signs of Wellness/Belonging.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends.
  • Strong technology skills including ETO, Teams, Dayforce, etc.

Education and credentials;

  • Degree in the human services (Child & Youth Care, Social Work, etc.) is preferred but those with a diploma and extensive experience will be considered.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a front-line role in related position.
  • Supervisory or team lead experience is an asset.
  • Class 5 Drivers License & Auto Insurance with 2 million PLPD & use for work
  • 3 year Claims Experience Letter with no at fault claims.
