Experienced Concrete Foreman
Company: Matrix HR.
Location: Alberta (Sites will vary).
Rate: $37–$40/hr (Overtime at standard rates).
Start Date: ASAP.
About the Role:Matrix HR is seeking a skilled Concrete Foreman in Calgary. Successful applicants will have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Concrete Foreman.
Based in Calgary, our client specializes in high-quality concrete formwork for commercial construction projects across Western Canada. Our client has been in operation for over 17 years, consistently delivering on commercial formwork projects of all sizes .
Responsibilities:
  • Lead commercial pours using cam-lock formwork system.
  • Create daily work plans from blueprints.
  • Coordinate deliveries of material and equipment.
  • Ensure safety compliance and lead weekly tool box talks.
Requirements:
  • Foreman Experience: 3–5+ years as a concrete foreman on commercial projects.
  • Cam-Lock Expertise: Proven ability to set, brace, strip, and maintain cam-lock formwork.
  • Blueprint Literacy: Reads and translates drawings into daily work plans.
  • Leadership: Plans the day, delegates tasks, enforces quality/safety standards, and drives productivity.
  • Strong Communicator: Able to communicate fluently in English for toolbox talks and crew direction.
  • Safety Tickets: WHMIS, Fall Protection, H2S Alive.
  • Physical & Logistics: Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly; coordinate material deliveries and equipment.
  • Driver's License: Class 5 with a clean record.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Rate: $37.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience.
