About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Financial Analyst who is currently pursuing or planning to pursue a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a strong foundation in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting practices while progressing toward CPA certification.

We are a lean and profitable organization, with a collaborative team, and a non-siloed approach. As you are being hired for afinance jobyou may end up working on non-finance projects. This will help you learn the business and grow into a well rounded executive who is not just a CPA.

The successful candidate will begin by taking on entry level accounting functions, progressing to more complicated tasks over time. For clarity, the CFO will be the only other finance position in the organization. The two of you will split the work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of vendor invoices (Accounts Payable)
  • Collections of customer accounts (Account Receivable)
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.
  • Help maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of accounting standards and financial best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong intention to pursue CPA certification (active CPA exam candidate preferred).
  • 02 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (internships included).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software is a plus, especially Netsuite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
