Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of various types of heavy machinery, including but not limited to Caterpillar equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial equipment, schematics, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment such as rock trucks, excavators, and dozers.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs.
• Assemble and disassemble heavy machinery components as needed for maintenance or repair.
• Conduct welding tasks to repair or fabricate parts for heavy equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs are completed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

• Proficient in the operation and repair of industrial equipment, particularly Caterpillar machinery.
• Strong welding skills with the ability to fabricate parts as necessary.
