Summary Of Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Information Management Specialist will design and implement strategic data solutions to meet the complex and comprehensive data needs for the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand TBSM's strategic goals, gather business requirements, and build scalable and future-proof solutions to facilitate efficient treasury reporting and decision-making.
- Conduct data gap analysis, develop detailed data mapping and requirements documentation, and work closely with technology teams to support solution design and delivery.
- Business Information Management Specialist will perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate data solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and function as intended.
- Continuously enhance and optimize data integration and delivery processes to improve efficiency and meet the evolving needs of the treasury function.
- Business Information Management Specialist will assist with troubleshooting and resolving data issues and discrepancies, ensuring minimal disruption to treasury mandates.
Must Have:
- 2-5 years of experience in one of the following: banking products, treasury, data analytics, data modelling, and data solutions
- High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as the role requires working with multiple stakeholders and articulating complex treasury and data matters in a concise manner.
- An effective team player, as well as the ability to work independently.
Nice To Have
- A strong understanding of treasury functions and data needs, such as fund transfer pricing, asset-liability management, funding, capital, liquidity, cash management, investments, and risk management, is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions such as Azure Databricks.
- Proficient in Python or similar programming languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint.
- Working towards a CPA or CFA is considered a strong asset.
Education –
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
