Prerequisites
- Post-Secondary Degree in Canada in Engineering
- 0 - 6 years of work experience in the pipeline industry for liquid hydrocarbon operations.
- Skills: Critical Thinking / Problem Solving, Hydraulic Software Simulations, Programming, Technical Writing, Technical Documentation, Algorithmic Problem Solving
- Required Tech Stack: Office Suite
- Preferred Tech Stack: AFT Fathom, DNV Synergi Pipeline Simulator, VBA, Python
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive crude oil terminal and pipeline computer hydraulic models.
- Perform steady state and transient simulations and conduct hydraulic analysis on the results.
- Perform software coding related to hydraulic software, leak detection systems and pipeline trainers.
- Troubleshoot problems with pipeline equipment and operability due to hydraulic and capacity constraints.
- Offer cost-effective solutions to pipeline hydraulic designs and transient surge mitigation strategies.
- Write, review and develop technical reports in a concise and timely manner.
- Follow proper engineering practices. Adhere to all relevant internal and external standards.
- Initiate meetings, correspondence, and discussions with clients during RFI and review processes.
- Develop knowledge and proficiency with the use of in-house and industry-recognized hydraulic simulation and data analytic tools.
- Support other division activities as required.
