Position Summary:
The AutoCAD & Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department by assisting the Order Desk Supervisor, Account Managers, and Sales Director. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of client orders, including specialty requests.
In addition to using AutoCAD to design, resize, modify, and create drawings for custom window requests, the representative must also provide essential customer service support. The role involves answering client inquiries, providing technical guidance, and offering updates on order status. This aspect of the role requires the representative to be responsive, empathetic, and proactive in addressing client needs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the process. The AutoCAD & Customer Service Representative will work closely with the production team, external departments, and clients to ensure all projects are completed on time and meet the required specifications. This role is not limited to technical work but requires active involvement in customer service, requiring a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude to meet customer demands and deliver high-quality service.
This is a full-time onsite position that demands strong organizational, detail-oriented skills, proficiency in AutoCAD, and a passion for delivering great customer service. The ideal candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to verbal/written requests by producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project needs.
• Design, revise, and plot speciality and shape drawings as required by production, client requests, and Management.
• Design custom windows using AutoCAD based on customer specifications.
• Modify and confirm drawings to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Read blueprints and perform material take-offs as needed.
• Answer incoming requests from customers, collect information, and provide technical guidance on window specifications or project status updates.
• Ensure orders are inputted into the system accurately and timely.
• Maintain electronic drawing files in an organized manner within the Company network.
• Collaborate with external departments, including Logistics and Production to facilitate timely specialty and shape order completion.
• Foster strong relationships with customers by answering queries in a timely manner, providing accurate information on specialty shapes and product specifications, issuing quotes, and collaborating with departments to meet customer needs.
• Enter orders received through fax, email, and Fenevision system on a timely basis as dedicated priority.
• Ensure service requests are screened, processed, and closed utilizing RMA and existing service modules.
• Follow up with clients to extract feedback on quality of service received ensuring high level of satisfaction.
• Provide back-up support when required.
• Review customer orders for production release, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.
• Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries, providing timely solutions.
• Prepare and provide accurate quotes as required by customer requests.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
• Finalize orders, including shape specifications and other technical details, to ensure smooth processing of shape POs.
• Process and manage shape POs, ensuring all necessary documentation and specifications are included for production.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Skills:

• Ability to use AutoCAD program effectively.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
• Sound understanding of window production and technical product specifications.

• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and databases.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate measurements.

Education & Experience:

• Post Graduate education.
• Minimum of 3 years CAD work experience, both 2D and 3D.
• 2+ years customer service experience within windows manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience with data entry, reporting, and scheduling.
