Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound/Outbound Logistics Support
· Coordinate and track all incoming and outgoing shipments
· Collaborate with shipping and receiving coordinators to ensure timely deliveries
· Identify bottlenecks and recommend operational improvements
Freight Optimization & Cost Savings
· Analyze shipping costs and develop strategies to reduce freight spend
· Compare and negotiate rates with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers
· Propose creative shipping solutions to reduce transit time and expense
Trade Compliance
· Research and apply appropriate HS codes to products
· Prepare documentation to challenge or appeal any unjustified duties or tariffs
· Stay current on import/export regulations affecting the business
Vendor Coordination
· Liaise with third-party logistics providers, customs brokers, and warehouse partners
· Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
· Monitor shipping lead times and performance metrics
Reporting & Analysis
· Maintain shipping logs and cost reports
· Provide monthly dashboards on freight performance and savings
· Support finance and procurement with shipping data for budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a logistics coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and customs documentation
  • Ability to work with logistics software (e.g., ERP).
  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BSc/BA in business administration, supply chain management, or relevant field preferred.
