**Hybrid work setting - Shortlisted candidate would be expected to come into the office every other week on a hybrid rotation schedule**

Key Accountabilities
Technical Graphic Design

• Prepare and finalize print ready art files and production flysheets

• Preform preflight checks for required fonts, colours, dimensions, resolutions, machine requirements, etc.

• Create digital mock ups for customer approval

• Translate customer samples and files into workable vector artwork

• Develop special art concepts and graphic discoveries
Administration

• Review and update current orders in the graphics database

• Maintain and revise working files and backup folders

• Submit requests for new specialty ink codes

• Prepare physical mock ups for shipment

• Provide billing with up to date print costs, approvals and purchase orders

• Check simple and complex orders for accuracy and completion

Customer Service

• Advise customers, sales and internal departments on complex art changes and recommendations required to optimize print production

• Determine and suggest opportunities for graphic innovation

• Provide print quotes and information pertaining to machine specifications

• Investigate technical/complex graphics related issues and work with internal teams to identify solutions

• Supply completed paperwork and files to graphic coordinators

• Supply multi colour/ multi up plate files for platemaking

Required Qualifications

Education

• Secondary school diploma - Graphic Communications or equivalent program/ courses considered an asset Experience

• 2 to 4 years relevant industry experience - Graphic Design or similar role considered an asset Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of structural design, layout, image and colour editing software is essential (i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)

• Technical understanding of preflight, workflows and various printing methods (lithographic, digital, flexographic, etc.)

• Professional verbal and written communication skills

• Possess the ability to track, process and update orders

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Macintosh operating systems
