Forge Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defence Lawyer to join the Calgary office of a well-established and respected national law firm.
About the Role

• Deliver legal counsel and analysis focused on insurance defense and coverage matters.
• Conduct legal research and provide detailed assessments of relevant issues.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, pre-trial briefs, and mediation materials.
• Write correspondence to opposing counsel and clients regarding case developments.
• Prepare for and participate in examinations for discovery and mediation sessions.
• Represent clients in court for motions and other judicial proceedings.
• Manage practice-related administrative and organizational tasks.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of relevant legal experience with a strong emphasis on commercial litigation and insurance law.
• Juris Doctor
• Strong judgment and legal analysis, with a proven ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
• Skilled in developing legal strategies, clearly articulating plans to clients, and delivering precise, well-structured guidance.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
