About the role:
Reporting to the IT System Administrator, you will act as the first point of contact for users, assisting with user set-up and maintenance, and resolving IT concerns. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for flexible hours, a great work environment and even better people!
The selected candidate must be available on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays but not Sundays!
Please note: the successful candidate must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to28712 114 Ave, Acheson, AB T7X 6E6.
Responsibilities:
User Support
Act as the first point of contact for users and assist in resolving hardware, software, and network issues
Set up and maintain employee workstations, and software as necessary
Create, change, and delete user accounts as necessary
Install, upgrade, and monitor software and hardware for optimum performance
Use judgment in escalating larger or more complex issues to IT System Administrator
System Administration
Proactively identify potential system issues and improve system performance in conjunction with the IT System Administrator
Maintain the security and efficiency of the network in conjunction with the IT System Administrator
Leverage vendor relationships and support to maximize product utilization
Maintain essential applications such as the operating system, server, and email
Ensure security through access controls and permissions
Maintain network connectivity
Requirements:
- Related technical education
- 1-3 years of IT support experience
- Detail oriented
- Strong time management
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
