Position Overview

The Delivery Fulfilment Specialist provides direct support to the warehouse, coordinates the shipping of all hard goods out of the facility and ensures that all products are in good condition and invoiced correctly. With excellent time management and organizational skills they deliver product directly to our customers. They provide excellent customer service and foster a relationship that empowers our customers to enrich their business through excellent inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer orders in a timely and professional manner ensuring that each customer receives the correct product that they ordered.
  • Operate a delivery van to deliver products to customers.
  • Receive incoming product in the warehouse.
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner to unload trucks and place materials on pallet racking.
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
  • Examine stocking levels to determine shortages and overages.
  • Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
  • Performs quarterly inventory counts.
  • Process and prepare orders.
  • Audit customer inventory.
  • Keeping customer's color verification tools, inventory equipment, & mix room to company standards.
  • Thoroughly complete the DFS Checklist as required.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to ensure the success of the company.

  • Provide professional customer support to ensure customer's satisfaction.
  • Assist retail associates in the daily retail functions of the company.
  • Communicating with customers through various means.
  • Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints.
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues.
  • Providing ideas and insights to continually improve processes and functions of the company.
  • Answer phones and address customer needs.

Skills and Knowledge

  • A thorough understanding of our inventory management software (Spire).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, goal-oriented, proactive problem solver.
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced work environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel, Word, and e-mail.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving paperwork and documentation procedures

Training Requirements

  • WHMIS
  • Repair Stack/Skyline
  • Spire
  • Transportation of dangerous goods.

Working Conditions

  • Sitting, standing at a desk, walking in office, and throughout the facility
  • Occasional operation of ladder
  • Regular lifting and moving of equipment, up to 30 Kg
  • Prolonged periods of computer, typing, and mouse use.
  • Prolonged periods of driving, up to 300km
  • DFS employees are required to work in Customer's Auto Repair facilities and may be subject to dust, dirt, fumes, grease, odour, and uncomfortable climate conditions. Personal Protective Equipment must always be worn and follow the health and safety protocols set out by the Customer's Business and Brown's Auto Supply.
  • DFS employees will spend a lot of time driving between service calls and should take extreme precautions to ensure the safety of themselves and Brown's Auto Supply's property and vehicles.
  • DFS employees may be asked to work outside normal business hours occasionally.

Education, Certifications, and Experience


Education Level

Minimum Requirement:

High School Diploma or GED certificate

Years of Experience:

2 years in a warehouse environment - 2 years in a delivery role

Certification(s)

Drivers License

Valid Ontario Drivers G License

Clean Driver's Abstract

Key Performance Indicators and Measurements

Inventory Management - Conducts accurate monthly inventory counts

Product Delivery - Delivers products on time according to the delivery schedule
