Our Client, a progressive municipality in Alberta's Bow Valley region is seeking an experienced Manager of Engineering to lead its municipal infrastructure services.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This leadership position is responsible for overseeing engineering operations, managing a skilled technical team, and guiding the planning and execution of capital projects that support community growth, sustainability, and long-term resilience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to the engineering department.
- Manage infrastructure planning, budgeting, and capital project delivery.
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, technologists, and technicians to foster professional development and high performance.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and inclusion within the department.
- Collaborate across departments and with external agencies to align priorities and deliver integrated services.
- Offer technical expertise and guidance on development applications, construction standards, and long-term infrastructure strategies.
- Ensure compliance with APEGA regulations, municipal policies, and safety standards.
- Engage constructively with Council, residents, and stakeholders to support transparent and informed decision-making.
- Committed to team growth, continuous learning, and service excellence.
- Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and leading through change.
- Politically astute, with the ability to build trust and influence across multiple levels.
- Values equity, diversity, and inclusion in leadership and decision-making.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil engineering, including
- 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in municipal infrastructure, asset management, and capital planning.
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects, budgets, and teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse audiences.
