Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Etobicoke
Our client, a leading Canadian Food Manufacturer is searching for a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join their manufacturing team. Our client offers a diverse portfolio of food and confectionary products, which are all made on-site at their facility in Etobicoke, ON. The Production Supervisor is a key leadership position on the Production floor that will be the connection from the floor to the Executive group.
The ideal candidate will come from a Production Supervisor/Manager role with a Food Manufacturer. Experience with a diverse portfolio of Food products is an asset. The Production Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing shift, day to day production.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct and coordinate production operations, including labor management
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with cross functional teams
• Ensure team members are coached and developed in an open and positive environment to achieve continuous professional growth
• Primary contact for site including personnel, equipment control, assets, facility improvements and production requirements
• Ensure the plant is operated in a safe and efficient
• Oversee continuous improvement processes and process implementation
• Other as required

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience working in a people supervisor role
• Supervisory or management experience in a similar environment is an asset
• Post Secondary Education in Operations Management or similar is an asset
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong understanding of MS Office and systems
