UX/UI Designer & Copywriter

About the Role

We're seeking a talented UX/UI Designer & Copywriter for a 3 month contract. In this hybrid role, you'll create compelling user experiences and persuasive content that showcases our products and enhances customer engagement. You'll blend visual design expertise with strategic writing skills to deliver cohesive digital experiences that drive results.

Key Responsibilities

UX/UI Design (60%)

• Design intuitive, responsive interfaces for our website, product configurators, and digital marketing materials
• Use Figma to create wireframes, mockups, and polished UI designs that align with brand guidelines
• Conduct user research and usability testing to optimize customer journeys
• Develop visual assets including product visualizations, iconography, and interface elements
• Collaborate with web developers to ensure successful implementation of designs

Copywriting (40%)

• Craft compelling product descriptions, web content, and marketing materials that highlight product features and benefits
• Develop consistent voice and messaging across all digital touchpoints
• Write clear and concise UX copy including navigation labels, button text, and form fields
• Create SEO-optimized content that drives organic traffic
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and brand consistency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work
• 2+ years of experience in copywriting with samples showcasing your writing style
• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch)
• Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, and responsive design
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization
• Strong project management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in product marketing, specifically creating content and designs that showcase product features and benefits
• Familiarity with the cabinet industry or related home improvement/interior design fields
• Experience with e-commerce platforms and product visualization tools
• Knowledge of email marketing design and content creation
• Understanding of marketing analytics and performance metrics
