Position Available: Demand Planner
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia (Hybrid)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Demand Planner to take full ownership of our inventory pipeline and product availability. Reporting to the Director, FP&A and Planning, you will play a critical role in driving product performance, optimizing inventory levels, executing purchasing strategies, and enhancing operational efficiency.
This role bridges strategic planning and operational execution, ensuring products are thoughtfully sourced, effectively allocated, and perfectly positioned to meet customer demand while supporting overall business growth. What Youll Do:
- Own the overall health of the inventory pipeline, proactively identifying and addressing gaps to ensure seamless execution of operational goals.
- Build and maintain weekly supply and demand forecasts aligned with business needs, ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory levels.
- Analyze historical data, trends, and KPIs to inform purchasing decisions and demand strategies.
- Accurately prepare and execute purchase orders on a weekly basis while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics to support end-to-end alignment and execution.
- Provide insights into product performance, demand patterns, and inventory trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor supply chain performance, assess risks, and recommend proactive solutions.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance forecast accuracy, reduce costs, and increase agility.
What Youll Need:
- A Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or similar role (retail or e-commerce experience is a strong asset).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building models, handling large datasets, and using complex formulas for forecasting and analysis.
- Proven ability to forecast weekly demand and resolve challenges independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Experience with supply chain systems, planning tools, or ERP software is a plus.
