MAIN OBJECTIVE
To lead and manage employment programs that support individuals with disabilities in securing and maintaining meaningful employment, in alignment with the organizations mission and government funding objectives. The Employment Manager is responsible for ensuring program compliance, fostering inclusive employer partnerships, and delivering person-centered services that promote equity, independence, and full participation in the community. This role provides leadership to staff, supports continuous program improvement, and upholds the values of dignity, respect, and opportunity for all participants.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Employment Manager to lead our Employment Division. This position is responsible for overseeing program operations, cultivating relationships with funders and community partners, and providing strategic leadership to the employment team. The Employment Manager will also coordinate service delivery and ensure the program achieves its employment objectives in job retention, client satisfaction, and overall effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure program activities comply with contractual measurables, applicable legislation, and professional standards
Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager on staff recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives
Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers to expand inclusive job opportunities for individuals with disabilities
Provide leadership and support to program staff while fostering a positive, collaborative, and person-centered work culture
In partnership with the finance division, monitor program budgets, manage expenditures, and evaluate overall program effectiveness
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of program delivery
Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of participant information, services delivered, and program outcomes, in accordance with organizational policies and funding requirements
Stay informed of current best practices, legislative updates, and emerging trends in disability employment and inclusive workforce development
Represent the organization at community events, stakeholder meetings, and working groups as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Post-secondary education in a related field; a combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Minimum of 35 years of experience in program management, employment services, or community-based disability supports, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, disability rights, inclusive hiring practices, and person-centered service delivery
Proven leadership skills with experience supporting and developing high-performing teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in evaluating program effectiveness and tracking outcomes
Proficiency with case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data reporting tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
