Atlantic Road Construction & Paving (ARCP) is a heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling and blasting, pipe and underground utility, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We have seen some tremendous growth over the past several years and in order to facilitate further growth, we are adding a Business Development Representative to our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Estimating department while focusing on generating commercial paving work for the company. We are looking for someone who is experienced in B2B sales with a passion for making connections, generating qualified leads and closing the sale.
Requirements
Post secondary education in business, marketing, a construction related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven success in a business development role, preference for candidates experienced in the construction industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to effectively manage competing demands.
Valid drivers license and acceptable abstract required.
Responsibilities
Identify, research and pursue new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Develop a sustainable customer base and grow existing relationships.
Conduct outreach in person, by phone, email and networking events to generate and qualify leads.
Collaborate with the estimating department to develop proposals.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity and market developments.
Track and report on sales activities.
