Job Title: Accounting Associate
Location: Peel Region, ON
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: $23.00-$25.00/hour
Our client in Peel Region, ON is actively looking for an Accounting Associate to join their team.

• Month End / Year End including journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and adjustments
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Provide some GL extractions/back-up for both the external and internal audits
• Any other requests from the Accounting Supervisor (cheque request, insurance, vehicles...)
• Provide reports & financial analysis as required to senior / branch / operations managers to drive improved decision making
• Support Operations team and Branch Managers in day-to-day financial matters
• Assist in process integrity and improvements, including developing automated solutions
• Special Projects as required

• 2+ years of relevant experience, industry related an asset
• University/College Education with a focus on accounting preferred - CPA designation an asset
• Experience with financial close processes and financial statement preparation, good understanding of full-cycle accounting; knowledge in IFRS is an asset.
• Advanced Microsoft Office required – specifically Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems, Infor SX, MS Power BI and Teams, & COGNOS is an asset
• Excellent analytical, organization, communication, and team-work skills. Rigorous, adaptable, positive attitude/being proactive.
