Position: Yard Coordinator

Reporting To: Operations Supervisor

This position is responsible for all yard activities including the check-in and check-out of trailers, in an outdoor environment utilizing TEN's Yard Coordinator application. As a Yard Coordinator you will be responible for checking in all trailers coming in for services and the following:
Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out of all trailers

• Perform yard checks.

• Inspect trailers on an ongoing basis in order to determine if service and/or repairs are required

• Prepare ready line with the Gatekeeper application

• Maintain and document on site inventories of trailers and communicate findings to the Operations team daily.

• Complete Reefer and heater checks and pre-trips.

• Help in and clean shop as directed.

• Dispatch trailers to customers as a backup to operations if and when required.

• Perform small facility repairs and yard maintenance as required

• Comply with the TEN's Health and Safety program including working in a safe and responsible manner.

• Other duties as required.
  

Qualifitcations

• Ability to work outside daily for most of the day in all weather conditions throughout the year

• Knowledge of trailer/transportation industry is an asset.

• Intermediate computer skills

• Strong customer service skills

• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be Permanent Resident or on a valid Work permit for the next 1 year

• A motivated team player that takes initiative, has a learner attitude, and also has the ability to work independently and efficiently at the direction of the Operations team
