Job Summary

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for assisting drivers in locating and inspecting vehicles, reporting damages, pulling cars for dealers and private customers, and keeping inventory of all vehicles in the yard. Duties also include assisting and serving walk-in customers with courtesy and a genuine desire to assist them. As this is an outdoor job, the successful candidate must be willing to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Completes inspection reports on vehicles and notifies the customer, Claims department as the case may be
• Prepares loads for incoming truck transportation, parks cars for deliveries, and pulls up vehicles for customer pick up
• Completes inventory, inspection and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensures that vehicles are in running condition including an ebrake check
• Greets customers, offers assistance and directs them to appropriate area for assistance
• Alerts office of rail offloads and ensures paperwork is accurate

Essential Qualifications

• High School Graduation
• Valid drivers license (G) and clean driving record / abstract
• 1 year work experience - Previous related experience would be an asset
• Must have reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Good mechanical aptitude Desired Qualifications
