Responsibilities:
- Handle multiple customers within the retail store at a single time.
- Provide a knowledgeable customer service experience within the retail store.
- Operate the P.O.S. system
- Answer the store phone line.
- Maintain retail area in clean state and free from obstructions (6S).
- Restock shelves with inventory and ensure that the inventory is properly organized.
- Fulfill online rope store orders including coordinating packaging and shipping.
- Provide feedback and work on implementing improvement for store merchandise.
- Ensuring proper UPC barcodes are on product – print and apply barcodes as required.
- Stitching & packaging rope for distribution orders to other warehouses.
- Work in other departments within the facility as assigned by the Operations Manager.
- Splice rope to fulfill orders.
- Participate in training as required by company or Operations Manager.
- Cross train with other departments.
- Promote safe work practices as outlined in the Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Strive for Zero-time lost accidents.
- Other duties required by Operations Manager.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of customer service experience within the retail store or facility.
- 1-2 years of experience as a store clerk
- 1-2 years of packaging experience
- 1-2 years of experience operating a P.O.S. system
- Comfortable multi-tasking and attending to multiple customers at a single time
- Comfortable lifting up to 44lbs
- Comfortable standing for a long period of time
- Comfortable with quality cross-training and 6s training.
- Willingness to work in other departments within the facility
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, friendly, outgoing and customer service focused
- Safety boots
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of boating, boat accessories and the marine industry (Asset)
- Experience with industrial sewing machine (Asset)
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
