Your Role at Petcurean: Reporting to the CEO, the Managing Director, International is responsible for leading Petcurean's international business operations, with a primary focus on sales strategy, market development, and execution outside of North America. This role drives growth by expanding into new markets, optimizing performance in existing regions, and ensuring operational and financial alignment across international teams.
As a key contributor of the leadership team, the Managing Director works cross-functionally to align international efforts with Petcurean's broader business objectives. This role also acts as a general manager for the international business - guiding strategic decisions, enabling cross-functional execution and championing Petcurean's mission and values while fostering a customer-first, performance-driven mindset.

International Sales & Business Strategy- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive international strategy that drives growth and long-term market presence.
- Lead the development and execution of international sales plans including performance metrics, market positioning, target segments, and promotional initiatives.
- Continuously monitor market dynamics, customer trends, and competitor activity to proactively adjust strategies and optimize performance.
- Ensure international programs and initiatives are tailored to regional market conditions, regulatory requirements, and customer behaviors.
- Set and manage profit targets and oversee the international sales budget to ensure efficient resource use and ROI.
General Management
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing international teams that execute on strategic and revenue goals.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure consistent execution and growth across diverse markets.
- Oversee key business planning processes, ensuring that international priorities are integrated into company-wide financial, operational, and resource planning.
- Lead in-market sales activities, including relationship management, deal negotiation, and post-sale customer engagement.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market entry points in line with corporate goals.
- Ensure accurate reporting and data-driven decision-making through effective planning, tracking, and analytics.
Sales Operations & Effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, systems, and team enablement to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion CRM adoption and leverage analytics tools to ensure data integrity and enable actionable insights across markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-Finance, Marketing, Operations-to ensure sales execution is supported by aligned business functions and infrastructure.
People Management
- Lead with a clear and compelling strategic vision that motivates teams and aligns with Petcurean's short and long-term goals.
- Set clear expectations and foster a high-performance, values driven culture rooted in accountability, feedback, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory and safety requirements.
- Creates a safe, inclusive, and empowering work environment that reflects Petcurean's values and supports employee growth and engagement.

Are you our next Managing Director, International? Here are some of our must-haves:
- Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree Program in a relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of proven successful sales management experience in a B2B sales environment that is fast paced, and customer driven, including experience with international business focus.
- 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including experience leading leaders.
- Demonstrated success in managing P&L, leading market entry and driving cross-functional performance
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Hours of Work
- This is a full-time exempt position. The Employee shall perform his/her duties at such places and during such times as may be reasonably necessary. International travel will be required, up to 33% of the time.
