OVERVIEW
The Project Manageris responsible for completing, planning, coordinating and managing all project related for Engineering or EPC projects. The incumbent will provide project management to promote the successful execution of projects with a focus on cost efficiency, constructability and schedule, and quality.The successful candidate will be assigned to a combination of electrical based projects related to oil and gas facilities and pipelines as best suited based on their skills and interests.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide Project Management and leadership in a professional and organized manner for total project effort including project schedule development; participation in construction planning and design; resolution of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
Drive creative project solutions with positive attitude and teamworking skills
Ensure Project Management activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall project schedule
Interface with all engineering departments/disciplines as required in the establishment of project schedules and resolving schedule problems
Project Initiation and upfront planning activities to establish clear project requirements and goals throughout the execution, monitoring and closeout.
Schedule management, cost management for the project
Team support and guidance
Stakeholder management
Meeting facilitation with all project stakeholders
Managing WBS, CBS and project cost reporting (Earned Value Management)
Interfacing with Clients for proactive dialogue/management around cost, schedule, scope, and issue resolution
Facilitate and chair meetings as required
Work in a professional and organized matter to track all
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor or Masters degree inElectricalEngineering
5+ yearsof formal training and experiencewithleading engineering and different technical teams.
Experience with EPCM project delivery preferred but not required
Must be licensed as a professional engineer
Currently residing in Canada
SKILLS
Superiorproject management and leadership skills
Must have experience with projects related to electrical design, controls, instrumentation, automation, cabling, motor control centers, power systems, distribution panels, etc.
Must be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices, etc such asCanadian Electrical Code,CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3
Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with peers, project managers, site managers and clients proactively
Must have a proven track record of accomplishment as a project manager on industrial projects and be capable of working with a team of engineers, designers and support personnel
Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
*we are a hybrid office environment. This position can belocated in either Calgary, Vancouver or Kelowna.
This role is open to contractors or employee hourly with benefits with a range in rate depending upon experience and education, $65-90/hour.
