This position contributes to the overall organization by providing safety support to the projects. This role primarily interacts with field crews and supervisors with the goal of being a resource in site health and safety. Basic communication with clients and General Contractors may be required from a field level.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist site supervisors with managing safety and meeting with clients
• Train/coach/mentor staff in policies and procedures outlined by All Roads
• Project start up
• Actively participate in the Health and Safety Management systems, and encourage others through leadership
• Audit safety documentation to ensure compliance
• Perform or audit site inspections to ensure compliance
• Assist in injury claims
• Maintaining BCCSA COR certification

Technical Skills

• Intermediate level SiteDocs
• Entry level ability to use Word, Excel, Bluebeam
• Proficient in English written and spoken
• Complete hazard identification and control assessments
• Conduct and review workplace inspections
• Conduct and review incident investigations
• Basic documentation development/implementation
• Documentation Auditing
• Able to interpret Acts, Regulations, Codes, Standards
• Hold meetings and safety stand downs

Qualifications:

• Years of experience: A minimum of 5-10 years
• Education: Highschool, BCCSA COR Auditor Training, OHS Certificate/Diploma (preferred not required)
• Designations: NCSO (preferred not required), CRSP (preferred not required)
• Considered an asset:
  • Intermediate First Aid or greater
  • BCCSA NCSO Courses
  • Confined Space
  • Fall Protection
