PTW is hiring aPurchaserto join our team in Calgary, AB.
This position reports to the Procurement Manager. Working with our Procurement Team, the Purchaser will procure materials for PTW's various Electric & Controls divisional branches which are located across Western Canada.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Completematerial requisitions and purchase orders, along with material returns as required
- Communicate and coordinate material delivery notes to project team
- Negotiate pricing requests for medium to large construction projects
- Monitor purchase orders and expedite delivery delays
- Ensure accuracy of purchase orders and quotations meet material specifications and delivery request
- Investigate and resolve PO pricing discrepancies, including PO closeout procedures
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
- Provide required purchasing KPIs and reports as necessary
- Keep up-to-date with new product options, including supply resources
- Evaluate and adviseManagement of any serious ongoing issues with vendors.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6-8years experience working in the wholesale industry.
- Priority given to candidates with relevant oil & gas electrical and instrumentation experience
- SCMP, College or equivalent degree/certification in Purchasing considered an asset.
- Require strong verbal skills (expression and comprehension) and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of procurement processes.
- Intermediate Microsoft 365 skills (specifically Word, Excel, OneDrive and Teams)
- Previous integrated ERP experience an asset.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Detail oriented and committed to accuracy.

- Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
