Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and customer-focused Multifamily Warranty Technician to join our team. Responsible for scheduling, overseeing and resolving all Warranty item requested from our homeowners and our tenants. This position requires hands-on skills, a strong understanding of construction practices, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations to ensure work aligns with project plans and timelines.
- Address warranty concerns as per the New Home Warranties Construction Performance Guidelines on all Mountain Pacific homes “Sold” and “Rental” Properties.
- Attend all pre-qualifying visits with the homeowners at the 1-month and 11-month Warranty dates as scheduled by the Customer Liaison team to inspect, clarify and/or complete any warranty repairs.
- Oversee the completion of all Warranty work by sub-contractors at the 1-month and 11- month trade dates.
- Complete all minor repairs/adjustments outlined on the New Homeowner Orientation sheet from the Possession Day Inspection and examine the workmanship to ensure it is of Mountain Pacific Homes quality standards and conforms with the New Home Warranty Construction Guidelines.
- Responsible for quarterly maintenance of the Showhomes.
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding customer warranty requirements outlined in the New Home Warranty Construction Guidelines.
Job Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience in residential multifamily construction and maintenance at an intermediate to senior level.
- Possess solid time management skills, prioritizing skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail to address constantly changing homeowner concerns .
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, New Home Warranty Construction Guidelines and OH&S safety regulations.
- Have a desire and the ability to engage in continuing education and skills upgrading.
- Flexibility in working periods of overtime.
- Have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Professional communication in conducting business with strong interpersonal skills.
- Work effectively in a team environment and/or independently.
- Comfortable working in a computerized environment which utilizes excel, Site Docs and other scheduling tools.
