Description

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Finance Manager Projects to lead financial oversight and contribute to the successful delivery of systems enhancements and process development initiatives. This role will play a key part in modernizing our financial systems and processes, managing finance projects, and ensuring that transformation initiatives are both efficient and aligned with long-term business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Project Management
    • Develop and manage ERP enhancements and process redesigns.
    • Track progress of implementation projects and ensure adherence to company goals
    • Develop and conduct training as required
  • Systems Enhancement Support
    • Act as the finance lead on cross-functional project teams for ERP, reporting systems, or automation tools.
    • Translate finance requirements into system specifications and collaborate with IT and implementation partners.
    • Ensure alignment of new systems with financial reporting, compliance, and control requirements.
  • Process Development & Optimization
    • Identify, design, and implement finance process improvements (e.g., automation, standardization, controls).
    • Develop and document workflows, SOPs, and control procedures for new processes.
    • Support change management and training initiatives related to process or system changes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner with finance, IT, operations, and project management teams to ensure cohesive execution.
    • Communicate project financial updates and risks to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
    • Ensure user adoption and operational readiness post-implementation.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Maintain documentation and support audit-readiness for project expenditures and system controls.
    • Ensure projects comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, as well as CPA or CA
  • 5+ years of finance experience, with at least 23 years managing financials for systems or transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Acumatica) and financial process architecture.
  • Proven experience financial reporting and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is an asset.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Background in finance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and financial systems enhancements.
  • Change management
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
