Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Electronics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting installation, testing, and maintenance of electronic systems in vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of electronic systems and equipment used in vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical schematics.
- Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications.
- Calibrate vehicle electronic systems, onboard systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance including Taxi Meter and safety sensors.
- Support integration of new electronic technologies into existing vehicle platforms.
- Install, wire, and configure power inverters with capacities from 150 watts to 3000 watts to enable AC-powered equipment (e.g., laptops, tools, appliances) to operate safely within vehicle environments.
- Select appropriate components such as transformers, capacitors, and protection circuits to ensure system stability, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
- Install, operate and maintain electronic equipment and systems including cameras, communication radios, sensors, meters, and power control systems used in automotive.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards in all procedures.
- Maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a EVT with knowledge of police vehicles is preferred.
- EVT Certification would be beneficial
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle electronics, diagnostics, or related areas.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

- Valid driver's license.

Education:
- Completion of a two- or three-year college program in electrical or electronics, computer engineering technology or an equivalent.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
