The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving strategic growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities for Logic NDT Solutions Ltd. This role focuses on expanding the company's market presence, cultivating key client relationships, and developing long-term growth strategies within the oilfield and related industries. The ideal candidate will possess a highly motivated, focused, and persistent sales drive, coupled with strong knowledge of the manufacturing, hardbanding, and machining sectors. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are crucial for success in this role, along with the ability to effectively negotiate and solve problems. This individual must also be coachable and willing to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Growth:

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, industry trends, and potential client segments.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Analyze market data and competitive landscapes to inform business decisions.
  • Explore and establish partnerships with key industry stakeholders.

Client Relationship Development:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target client organizations, creating client trust.
  • Conduct in-depth client needs assessments to identify opportunities for Logic NDT Solutions Ltd.'s services, leveraging mechanical aptitude and understanding of our services.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert insights and solutions to address client challenges.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term client loyalty.

Sales and Proposal Development:

  • Generate and qualify new leads through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach, demonstrating confidence and enthusiasm to inspire customer confidence.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that showcase the value of Logic NDT Solutions Ltd.'s offerings, utilizing proposal writing and estimating skills.
  • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements, acting as an investigator with strong sales closing ability.

Market Intelligence and Reporting:

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations, technological advancements, and competitive activities, demonstrating business acumen and industry savvy.
  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and sales tools.

Other:

  • Represent the company in a professional manner at trade shows and other industry-related events.
  • Provide weekly reports for the team meetings
  • Keep up to date activity records of sales, meetings, and potential clients
  • Actively reaching monthly/quarterly sales targets

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the oilfield services.
  • Strong understanding of CNC, CMT welding, non-destructive testing, inspection, and related services.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to understand technical documentation or able to learn.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating a resourceful, solution-oriented, and collaborative approach with honest straightforward communication.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with strong time management and disciplined focus.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between office locations in Alberta and client meetings
  • A strong understanding of the oil and gas industry and related industrial and procurement processes.
  • Willingness to be involved in coaching sessions and accept constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication skills

Compensation:

  • Base Salary $70,000-$80,000/ year based on experience
  • Commission
  • Mileage/Vehicle Allowance
  • Heath Care Spending Account

This is a in-person role, Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM.
