JOB SUMMARY:

The Document Scanning Clerks is a summer student position that is supervised by the Director of Communications. The Document Management Specialist will also act as the lead for the Document Scanning Clerks.

POSITION DUTIES:

1. Act as the lead student in Sagamoks summer digitization project to move paper files into the cloud in an organized, timely fashion.

2. Source documentation organization, scanning, electronic archiving in Sagamoks cloud- based file storage system.

3. Proficient in MS Office, Windows, and Internet-based systems

4. Assist the director with managing other summer students and coordinating departments to locate and source files.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

1. Must demonstrate enrollment as a full-time student in the previous academic semester school and be returning full time in the fall of 2025/2026 Academic school year.

2. Must be eligible for Sagamok Anishnawbek ISETP program funding (member of Sagamok, valid SIN #)

3. Must have, or be willing to obtain First Aid, WHIMIS, & Health and Safety in 4 Steps , Safe Food Handling

4. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and email software

5. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends) and be self-motivated.

6. Knowledge of and respect for Anishnawbek values, teachings, culture, and traditions is of critical importance.

7. Preference will be given to those applicants enrolled in health, recreational and/or human services.
