We are seeking an experienced and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 6-month contract to support our recruitment efforts during a critical period of growth. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, building talent pipelines, and partnering with hiring managers to find top-tier candidates across various functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation

  • Utilize various sourcing strategies (job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, etc.) to attract diverse talent

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS)

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process

  • Track and report on recruitment metrics and KPIs

  • Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns

  • Contribute full-cycle recruitment by supporting onboarding of new hires as well

  • Collaborate with HR and onboarding teams to ensure smooth handoff of new hires

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment

  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, tools, and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS systems)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously

  • Experience with behavioral interviewing and competency-based hiring

  • High attention to detail and a data-driven mindset

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have:
  • Experience in manufacturing industry, food industry would be an asset

  • Knowledge of labor laws and recruitment compliance

  • Familiarity with employer branding and social recruitment strategies

Contract Details:
  • Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of extension

  • Hours: 8hrs/day

  • Location: On-Site [Langley Plant]
