Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray imaging procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain patient safety by adhering to radiation protection standards, including the use of protective lead shields and appropriate exposure settings.
- Assist radiologists and other medical professionals in interpreting X-ray images and determining diagnoses.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in radiology and X-ray technology, participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist CAMRT and CMRITO
- State licensure as an X-Ray Technician, where applicable.
- Strong knowledge of X-ray equipment, radiation safety, and imaging procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
