Job Summary:

Were seeking an Junior Shipper & Receiver to join our Burnaby team!

Core Responsibilities:


  • Load and unload delivery vehicles.

  • Accept delivery of inventory and put away in its correct locations in a quick and timely manner.

  • Inspect inventory for any damage or faults, and if so, process any RMAs.

  • Communicate errors to relevant parties.

  • Mark and label stock and keep orders together as materials arrives at different times.

  • Organize and rearrange inventory neatly in their respective places.
  • Prepare inventory for upcoming projects and jobs (picking)

  • Ship material to other branches and directly to job sites.

  • Perform general warehouse housekeeping such as recycling, reusing packing materials, keeping aisles and exits clear.

  • Work closely with the admin team to ensure no paperwork is lost or processed incorrectly.

  • Monitor and respond to warehouse emails and phone calls/messages.
  • Deliver materials or product to job sites

Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment

  • Physical requirements such as standing for long periods of time, lifting (safely up to 50 pounds), working in awkward positions (twisting, bending, etc.) and pushing and pulling objects in general.

  • Great organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work in a safe manner, follow safe job procedures and precautions, and carefully handle inventory.

  • Working in a warehouse environment which includes being exposed to outdoor elements when bay doors are open.

  • Forklift certification considered an asset but are willing to train.

  • Occasional cutting of wood and metal.

  • Occasional working at heights (using a lift).
