We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field while working under the guidance of skilled electricians. Responsibilities will include assisting in various electrical tasks including installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.Commercial and residential projects.
Shift time - 7:00AM - 4:00PMLocation - Bridgewater, NS.
Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced electricians in the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment underground.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
  • Understanding of Nova Scotia electrical code.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of electrical systems and practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts, principles, and terminology.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in the electrical trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn are essential.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials as needed.
Requirements and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Must have 6” High CSA approved Work Boots, Type 2 hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses
  • One or more years' experience with construction in residential and commercial environment
  • Familiarity with the work of an electrician
  • knowledge of equipment and wiring methods
  • knowledge of using hand and power tools
  • Ability to carry up to 50lbs
  • Ability to frequently standing, bending, and walking
