About the Job

The Vendasta Marketplace is the backbone of our platform, empowering our partners to discover, sell, and provision software to small businesses around the world. As a Software Developer on the Marketplace team, youll help architect and deliver scalable, secure, and extensible systems that support hundreds of integrations, real-time provisioning, and seamless product experiences.

In this role, youll be working on everything from backend service architecture to API design and third-party app integration. Youll drive the technical vision behind the Marketplaces evolution, enabling Vendasta to offer a richer, faster, and more intelligent experience for partners and vendors alike. Your work will directly support revenue growth, product extensibility, and the continued expansion of Vendastas global ecosystem.

Your Impact

As a Software Developer, you'll work with fellow developers, product managers, and stakeholders to:

• Design and implement scalable services and APIs that power our Marketplace experience and app integrations.
• Lead the development of new features that streamline product discovery, transactions, billing, and provisioning.
• Optimize systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability, ensuring high availability across global markets.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to onboard new software vendors and support third-party integrations.
• Influence the teams architectural direction and ensure our solutions are aligned with Vendastas long-term platform vision.
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior team members, contribute to design discussions, and foster a collaborative and growth-focused team culture.

What You Bring to the Table

Youre a driven developer who thrives in building robust systems and leading technical initiatives from idea to production. You enjoy solving complex problems that sit at the intersection of commerce, product discovery, and software automation.

• 2 - 4 years of experience in software development, ideally in SaaS or ecommerce ecosystems.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and service orchestration.
• Solid grasp of Git workflows and collaborative tools like GitHub or GitLab.
• Demonstrated experience in system design with attention to scalability, performance, and security.
• Proficiency with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentorship skills.
• Background in Marketplace platforms, app stores, ecommerce, or digital billing systems.
• Familiarity with integration patterns and experience working with third-party APIs.
• Experience with GraphQL, message queues, or containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
