Role Summary:

Chubb Fire and Security is looking for Storekeeper to join the team. The main job duties and responsibilities of this role will include order, receive, ship and release inventory goods in a timely manner and in accordance with scheduled installation dates, mandated technician vehicle stock levels, and established procedural and documentation requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives products and parts ordered from multiple vendors for installation and service departments and prepares all sales orders for pick up and/or delivery for Installers to meet scheduled dates.
  • Ensures the co-ordination of all sales orders with the inventory system and the project teams by maintaining up to date data entry.
  • Replaces all defective products with functional ones, preparing the defective products for repair (i.e. fills out a repair tag etc.) to complete sales orders and records “Inventory Transfers” (for proper overnight inventory processing).
  • Follows established procedures for completing stockroom and truck inventory cycle count and data enters necessary stock adjustments in the computer system to adjust the book inventory results and to reflect the correct physical inventory level on a financial aspect. Ensures that all consumables fulfill the requirements before delivery to Installation Technicians. Assists in the creation of process improvement for better controls.
  • Calculates the consumable lists, Inventory Transfer's, T&M's and work orders and data enters the amounts, charging the consumables to the appropriate department accounts.
  • Maintains levels of inventory by returning all removal and/or surplus material, RMA's to supplier as required. With authorization, proceeds to discard of all damaged and/or obsolete equipment/parts to ensure proper inventory control.
  • Prepares required statistics for the Supervisor, Operation's Manager or Branch Manager as requested.
  • Maintains inventory of all tools required by service and installation technicians.
  • Maintains excellent contact with all installation and service technicians to provide support regarding their order requests/needs.
  • Participates in the performance and completion of the annual physical inventory.
  • Support management with EH&S and ordering of PPE (personal protection equipment).
  • Accountable for acting in a safe and responsible manner. Follows established safety procedures and reports all accidents and hazards to the appropriate personnel. Maintains company equipment and tools in good working condition and promotes a safe work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary education in supply chain management or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related warehouse (Shipping, Receiving) or administrative (ie. Clerical, Dispatch) position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to lift approximately 75 lbs.
  • Data entry/keyboarding skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office applications)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high transactional work environment.
  • Knowledge of JDE would be an asset
