Pacific Cove Properties is a BC-owned and operated property management and development company providing rental accommodation to almost 3000 families and individuals in communities throughout British Columbia, including Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan.

We are seeking a skilled Residential Painter to join our residential maintenance team in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on an established property and provide exceptional painting support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare apartment units and residential rental properties for new tenants by repairing and repainting walls, ceilings, doors, and trim.
  • Patch drywall, sand surfaces, and perform minor surface repairs to ensure a smooth, clean painting finish.
  • Apply interior and exterior paint using brushes, rollers, or sprayers, focusing on efficiency and quality.
  • Perform touch-ups and repaints during tenant turnover or maintenance cycles.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, protecting flooring, fixtures, and furniture as needed.
  • Follow standardized paint schemes and property management guidelines to ensure uniform unit appearance.
  • Communicate with property managers, resident managers, and maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize work based on occupancy timelines.
  • Properly store, label, and manage paint and supplies for future use and compliance.
  • Identify and report potential property damage or needed repairs beyond the painting scope.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including proper ventilation, ladder usage, and PPE requirements.

Required Skillsets:

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in painting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work independently.
  • May require shift work and/or on-call duties.
  • Pass criminal background requirements.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle.

Education and Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in residential painting or relevant experience
  • A Certificate of Qualification in Painting will be considered an asset
