Management

  • Lead quality assurance activities for the site, ensuring Quality System requirements are documented, implemented and maintained.
  • Ensure monthly reports are completed and accurate and that any opportunity for improvement is explored and reported to Plant Management.
  • Manage NOD's, claim investigations and RCCA's.
  • Work closely with sales to respond to customer quality complaints.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales and Customer Service to reduce non-conforming product, optimize quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct Quality Work Group (QWG) meetings to resolve problems and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards including good housekeeping protocols, supporting operations in customer and third-party audits.
  • Foster strong relationships and communication with internal and external departments and stakeholders.
  • Plan, conduct and document all quality related training with established frequency.
  • Lead the Pre-print division in pursuing industry related certifications g. IFS PAC Secure, FSC, GFSI and related systems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline, training or equivalent work experience
  • Quality Systems Management or Supervisory experience within the Corrugated packaging sector is highly desired ; experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a prerequisite
  • Strong knowledge, training and experience related to IFS PAC secure, FSC and GFSI standards
  • Internal Auditor training and experience is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and Corrugated business systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and critical thinking skills are essential
  • Ability to organize and prioritize essential tasks to achieve results.
