The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and executing lead measure strategies to grow and expand ConMet's brand in the Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Provinces). Their primary goal is to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners identify potential areas for growth and development. They are also responsible for conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, communicating and documenting finding in the company's CRM.

Key Duties

  • Execute the Lead Measures for market development, including product education for the Replace vs Rebuild.
  • Understand the customers' needs to determine where ConMet can support with Aftermarket products.
  • Understand the customers' needs to determine what solutions ConMet can develop to support customers growth
  • Leverage existing network to identify areas of growth for ConMet
  • Develop strong relationships with executive and operational level decision-makers at emerging commercial vehicle OEMs dealerships and independent distributors and leverage those relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Responsible for educating and supporting current and emerging customers with ConMet's legacy aftermarket product lines.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps for key targets and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to grow market share and diverse product portfolio
  • Provide regular and relevant feedback on market conditions, competitor activities and progress towards business objectives.
  • Serve as the business expert for ConMet's products and solutions.
  • Domestic travel will be required to support the customer base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management is preferred
  • Five or more years of business development experience working on products (or services) for commercial vehicle or automotive OEMs is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of North American heavy truck and/or trailer market is a plus. English fluency required; French fluency is strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • A competitive salary paid weekly in CDN. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
