Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finishing Foreman to lead and oversee the final stages of construction projects. The Finishing Foreman will be responsible for managing all finishing work, including drywall, painting, flooring, and other detailed tasks to ensure the project meets the required standards of quality and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure project timelines, budgets and goals are met.

- Oversee and support the completion of finishing work such as drywall, painting, flooring, trim, and other detailed tasks.

- Maintain clear communication with team members, subcontractors, and management regarding progress and any potential delays.

- Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

- Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications and schedules.

- Inspect finished work to identify and resolve any issues or defects.

- Track and report on materials and supplies, ensuring proper inventory and ordering as needed.

- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.

- Mentor and train junior workers, providing guidance and support to develop their skills.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a finishing foreman or similar role in the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.

- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

- Certification in construction management or a related field.

- Experience with residential or commercial projects.

Working Conditions:

- Physical demands include standing, walking, and occasional lifting.

- Work is conducted on construction sites, requiring adherence to all safety regulations.

We are an on-site crew 5 days a week. We sometimes work late to make sure we meet our deliverables or to support emergency responses, so the ability to work flexible and irregular hours is required. However, we do respect your work/life balance too.
