We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the data migration and management efforts for a major SAP S/4HANA migration project. This is a REMOTE contract renewable up to 2 year.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the data migration strategy for transitioning from legacy systems (including older versions of SAP) to SAP S/4HANA.
- Architect and implement solutions to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems into SAP.
- Collaborate with internal teams, Systems Integrators (SI), and data owners to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Develop and implement data migration plans, frameworks, and methodologies that align with business objectives.
- Oversee data assessment and mapping activities, ensuring alignment with master and transactional data requirements.
- Lead the Data Management Workstream, creating Data Strategy, Data Cleansing, Data Migration, and Data Volume Management plans.
- Establish a data staging environment for cleansing and validating data before migration.
- Work with business data owners to define master data governance processes and ensure long-term data integrity.
- Support and monitor data validation and migration testing, ensuring the successful transfer of data to the new system.
- Provide guidance on data security standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Partner with the System Integrator to develop and implement ETL tools and transformation schemas.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data migration projects within complex enterprise environments.
- 5+ years of experience in an Enterprise Data Architect role.
- Expertise in data architecture, data management, and data integration platforms/tools.
- Proficiency with at least one Enterprise ETL tool.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) principles, including developing standards, roadmaps, and data governance.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA data migration is highly desirable.
- Ability to navigate complex projects and drive successful data migration outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing senior executives.
