About the Role:

DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Entertainment Group in either our Victoria or Vancouver office. In this role, you'll work directly with clients from the exciting world of entertainment, helping them navigate their finances so they can focus on their craft.

We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude, strong technical accounting skills, and a passion for exceptional client service. Youll be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and delivering top-tier financial support to artists and industry professionals.

How you'll make a difference:

• Processing full cycle Accounts Payables and Receivables;
• Preparing invoices and billings;
• Payroll calculations and remittances;
• Preparation of regular external filings such as GST, T4s and T5s;
• Bank and credit card reconciliations;
• General client support.

Do you have:

• 1+ years bookkeeping experience?
• An interest in working with clients from the entertainment industry?
• Excellent attention to detail with superior organizational and analytical skills?

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop a positive rapport and convey concepts and services with clients;
• Examples of being a detail oriented individual with superior organizational and analytical skills;
• Ability to manage time and adhere to strict deadlines;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office with the ability to quickly grasp new technological tools.
