MFM LP provides comprehensive Client services in vehicle inspection, light duty vehicle repair, overhead crane services and professional services.

  • Shift: 11.50 hours per day - 14 days on, 14 days off. Work conducted under an Hours of Work Averaging Arrangement (HWAA) - formerly known as Compressed Work Week
  • Work Location: Position will be based at the Kearl Lake facility, located North of Fort McMurray, AB.
  • This is a Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) opportunity with camp accommodations provided. Flights will be provided from the hub centers of Edmonton, AB and/or Calgary, AB with direct flights to site. Workers are responsible for travel to/from the travel hubs and their residence.

Purpose & Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the IOL Unit Rate Supervisor, the Unit Rate Auditor is responsible for performing field audits of unit rate work, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with contractors, Unit Rate Supervisor, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in our global safety system PSMS. perform site verification and validation interactions with imperial & contracted personnel.
  • Monitor and report safety-related items for unit rate contractors to Unit Rate Supervisors for follow up.
  • Perform daily field audits of unit price work and complete data entry of audit findings.
  • Ensure field attest percentage meets or targets as approved by business controls.
  • Document and input work scope attest information daily into Unit Rate Master Audit Tool(s).
  • Complete document reconciliation against contractor-provided estimate/as-built information for accuracy and consistency.
  • Routinely monitor and observe crews to ensure no mixing of crews with differing compensation bases.
  • Ensure compliance with hard hat striping/unique identifier requirements, where applicable.
  • File Daily Force Report (DFR) and Workforce Reports.
  • Assist Unit Rate Supervisor with investigating any DFR and MPR Discrepancies.
  • Steward field audit follows-ups to completion.
  • Assist Unit Rate Supervisor/FLS's/Planner in resolving Unit Rate issues with contractors.
  • Assist with work scope walk downs to clarify unit rate and T&M feasibility.
  • Provide input on best practices for execution that minimize re-work and over-handling of materials.
  • Periodically review documents associated with audit findings (Weekly scope and man-hour report attesting).
  • Provide Continuous Improvement (CI) Ideas based on daily observations.
  • Conduct time studies in field for the creation of new units. Which includes quantifying of data collected during studies.
  • Validate and verify real time in-field delays as they pertain to scope process.
  • Assist the execution team with barrier removal and scope change as required.
  • Liaise with Execution and Operation FLS to understand both process equipment locations and process operations to better ascertain maintain impact on equipment reliability.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in auditing, preferably in a field-related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools for both data entry and documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, such as engineering or, a Technology related diploma or equivalent proven experience.
  • Experience with SAP & Microsoft Office or Similar platforms would be advantageous.
