Position Overview
A dynamic and progressive boutique law firm in downtown Hamilton is seeking aJunior Corporate Clerkto join its warm and collaborative team. The firm is looking for someone eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have6 months to 1 year of experience and a strong interest in corporate law.Real estate experience is not required but considered an asset.
In this role, you will primarily support a single lawyer withcorporate law (75%)andresidential real estate (25%) matters, with occasional exposure to wills and estates. No prior experience in wills and estates is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:Corporate Law (75%)
- Assist in drafting and managing annual resolutions, incorporations, asset and share purchases, and other corporate matters.
- Support corporate filings, document preparation, and client communications.
- Maintain and organize corporate records and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.
Real Estate Law (25%)(No prior experience required, but a plus if you have it)
- Assist with residential real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and mortgage documentation.
- Prepare and review closing documents and coordinate transaction logistics.
Wills & Estates (Occasional Support)
- Provide administrative assistance as required (no prior experience necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 6 months 1 year of experience as a law clerk, ideally with exposure to corporate law.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Eager to Learn: Looking for someone who wants to develop and grow within the firm.
- Client-Focused: Professional communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software (Unity, PCLaw, or eCore is a plus).
